Billing Practices

To avoid the pressure of time, our work together will be done on an hourly rate basis.  A number of efforts are made to respect your time and give you full value.

Though the doctor does not accept insurance as payment for services, for over twenty years we have filed paperwork to patients’ insurances in hopes of some reimbursement being sent directly to you.

Physician’s Charges

The hourly rate for physician services is $600.00.

Your initial visit requires a non-refundable payment of two hours before an appointment can be booked or paperwork sent to you.

In the event your case requires less than two hours, your account will be credited for future services.

How Patients’ Hourly Rate Is Used

Physician charges are applied to face to face office time with the doctor, time spent on records review, research, physician phone calls and physician organization of your case.

Every effort is made toward efficiency and frugality and your guidance along the way is welcomed.

As might be imagined, the amount of time needed to do the job right varies but will almost always cost less than many concierge or other type medical plans.

We have decades of experience in treating patients fairly and, of course, you will always be in charge of how much or little we work together.

Testing

There is no extra charge for the routine laboratory and EKG done at your initial visit.

Most insurance plans will cover tests that we might subsequently order outside the office.

Advantage Plans and other insurances that require that tests be ordered by one of “their” doctors may be exceptions.

Office Staff Charges

Most office staff work is included in the physician’s fee.  Should we need old records and you do not want to secure them, we will cheerfully pursue whatever is needed, on your request.  Staff time will be billed at $25.00 per hour.
